The results of the sociological survey "Determination of the corruption perception index in the Republic of Kazakhstan"
In 2015, a sociological study was conducted to determine the index of perception of corruption in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The study was conducted to determine the corruption perception index that characterizes public opinion on the state of corruption in government bodies and is compiled on the basis of the following indicators: an assessment of the perception of the level of corruption, an assessment of the level of satisfaction with the state's anti-corruption policy, and an assessment of the information openness of state bodies.
The results of the sociological survey showed that the overwhelming majority (78.8%) of the country's population perceives corruption negatively and negatively. The maximum negative attitude towards corruption was expressed by the residents of Mangistau (93.6%), Pavlodar (92.6%), East Kazakhstan (91.3%) and Almaty (90.2%) regions.
